Our senior men’s team played its first friendly match of the new season in Sfântu Gheorghe, where the hosts, who were better prepared for the first half, claimed a two-goal victory.
The Szeklerland teams met at Sepsi OSK’s sports base, though not in the stadium, with the two sides set to face each other in the Romanian top flight for the first time next season. Several hundred spectators followed the action from the stands of the training pitch, while both sides tried out two completely different line-ups in the two halves.
The goals, however, came only in the FK net, both of them scored by Oberlin. First, he cleverly turned a cross from the left back low into the far corner, before a long-range shot, deflected off a defender’s leg, found its way into the Ciuc goal.
Preparations also continue for FK Csíkszereda: Szabó István’s players will train at home next week as well, before travelling to Dunajská Streda at the weekend for the Duna Cup, which will be followed by the training camp in Austria.
