Our SuperLiga team started the match programme of their Austrian training camp with a win: Szabó István’s side defeated Serbian top-flight club FK Radnički Niš 2–0 on Wednesday evening.

In the friendly match played in Leoben, Austria, the teams faced each other over two 50-minute halves. There were no goals in the first half, while the match was decided late in the second period by two goals from Szalay Szabolcs.

We took the lead in the 86th minute following an assist from Albert Stahl, before Szalay scored again four minutes later after a pass in behind from Czékus Ádám, as our team closed the first friendly match of the Austrian training camp with a 2–0 victory.

“Our first goal came from an attack down the right. Stahl played a very good pass to Szalay, who made no mistake from around 8-9 metres and fired the ball into the goalkeeper’s right side. The second goal came after we won the ball and launched an attack from our own half: Czékus released Szalay with perfect timing, he moved the ball inside onto his right foot and scored a tremendous goal from around 27-28 metres” – assistant coach Bajkó Barna reported to our website.
