Elitliga U16 | Gól nélküli döntetlennel zártuk az alapszakaszt

No goals were scored in the final-round Székely derby of the U16 Elite League’s Group 1, with the visitors from Covasna celebrating more, as they preserved their unbeaten streak.

The top two teams of the group faced each other, but since Sepsi OSK had a five-point lead at the top, a change in standings was out of the question. FK, however, needed all three points to secure second place and, of course, to carry as many points as possible into the play-offs. Burus Bernát’s side started the match energetically, with Szabó Örs creating several chances in the first 20 minutes, while Klein and Nagy also tested their luck from distance. The pace then dropped, and in the second half the visitors came out stronger, Gecse coming close to scoring for Sepsi. Toward the end, the hosts pushed forward again, but only one corner led to a real threat — which went begging. In the final minutes, a potential penalty incident added some tension, but the match ended without goals.

With this draw, we finished the regular season with 24 points, entering the play-offs with 12. As Buzău lost away to Ploiești, they couldn’t overtake us, so we secured second place.

Final standings at the top: 1. Sepsi OSK 29 pts, 2. FK Csíkszereda 24, 3. FC Bacău 23, 4. Petrolul 22 (38–19), 5. Buzău 22 (43–26), 6. Târgoviște 13. The top four teams advance to the play-offs.
