A single goal made the difference on Sunday in the Youth League between UTA and FK Csíkszereda — and it was scored by our team. Head coach Goran Kopunović evaluates the match.

Sunday’s match was the fourth in the play-off and the third away from home. Based on my previous experience, UTA are one of the best teams in this age category, with several players who regularly play in the first division with the senior team, training with them and being constantly involved at that level. Therefore, we expected a very strong opponent and a very difficult match. We worked well throughout the week, and I also planned a few changes to which the players reacted very well, in my opinion. As I told them, we did not go to Arad waving the white flag — and we ended up playing a typical one-goal match, ultimately decided by that single moment.

I was mostly satisfied with our performance as well; I am proud of the boys for how they reacted before the match, and what they showed during the game was encouraging. Congratulations to them, I am proud of them, and now we continue our work and prepare for the last match of the year in the league, which will take place on Wednesday at home against FC Argeș. And what matters most: we do all this with humility — showing modesty both in our work and in our behaviour.
