Coach Mitra Szilárd’s assessment

– The training camp took place in excellent conditions; everything was provided for quality work. We made good use of the high-quality grass pitches and the favorable weather — we are after ten intense days.

We played three matches, and from the first to the third game I saw clear progress from every player. They increasingly understood what I expect from them on the pitch.

In my opinion, our opponents would represent a level below mid-table in our championship, but it is definitely positive that we managed to score several goals and regain the feeling of finding the net.

Two new players joined the squad: Kelemen Szilárd, who previously played in Lueta and Odorheiu Secuiesc, an attacking player who already scored three goals in the friendlies; and Osváth Darius, who arrived from Oradea and can play in any midfield position. I believe both have good abilities and will further strengthen the team.

This weekend we resume with the Romanian Cup. Unfortunately, we only have mathematical chances of progressing, but naturally we want to win every match. There are still many games left in the league; although the field is very strong, we aim to finish as high as possible.

Bencze Lóránd has already made his debut in the top division, and now he is with the U18 squad. Since winter, Bota Darius has been a member of the senior team and has featured in several matches. It is a special joy for me that after Bencze Lóránd, both Bota Darius and Catrinoi Sebastian have also been called up to the national teams. I hope other players will follow their example.

We can no longer count on the first two players, so others will get their opportunity, and I trust they will make the most of it.

My personal goal is to provide as many players as possible to the national teams and the senior squad.

R. A.
