Our U16 team, coached by Bernát Burus, closed the year with a confident victory in Piatra Neamț. In his assessment, the head coach now reflects on the entire autumn season:

"We started the 2025–2026 season on July 7, with the primary goal of finishing the regular phase in one of the top four positions. The league start was preceded by a high-quality training camp in Cegléd, which laid the tactical foundations of the team, while the physical preparation had been built during the previous three weeks at home.

Compared to last season, we competed in a much stronger and more balanced league, facing far more tightly contested matches, both for the staff and the players. I believe that throughout the regular phase we were able to play almost exactly what we had envisioned and asked from the players, which continuously supported their development.

I can evaluate the regular phase completely positively: we showed good and balanced football, tried to reinvent ourselves from match to match, and corrected mistakes as quickly as possible.

The play-off brought a completely different level of challenge, where the team had to renew itself both mentally and physically. I think these five matches were mixed; we could have achieved more, yet the performances at the end of the season give us plenty of reason for optimism. I definitely evaluate this period positively as well, and I am confident that in spring we will climb to a higher position.

Our Romanian Cup campaign has been perfect so far: we are leading our group without conceding a goal, and our aim is to go as far as possible in the competition.
