On Tuesday at noon, Chindia Târgoviște’s U16 team visited the artificial pitch behind Márton Áron High School, where we hosted them in the Elite Cup round of 8. Burus Bernát’s team showed confident play and, thanks to braces from Tóth-Pál Milán and Bíró Botond, practically decided the match already in the first half. In the second period the hosts managed the game smartly and secured both the win and the qualification.

The red-and-blacks attacked the visitors’ goal from the very beginning. In the 4th minute Tóth-Pál opened the scoring, then doubled the lead four minutes later. Bíró converted a penalty in the 31st minute and scored again from a rebound in the final action of the first half. The visitors reduced the deficit in the 58th minute when Constantin David finished an individual move with a long-range shot. Six minutes later Kajtár produced a brilliant save to prevent them from getting closer, and no further goals were scored before the final whistle, allowing the hosts to celebrate qualification.

In the semifinals, on April 21, we will host Rapid București’s age-group team.
