Six U17 teams will compete at the Burus Csaba Sports Park from Wednesday to Saturday in the ninth edition of the Szeklerland International Youth Football Tournament.
The competition, which usually features teams from the Carpathian Basin Academy System, will this year bring together hosts FK Csíkszereda, TSC Topolya, Puskás Ferenc Football Academy, DAC Dunajská Streda, NK Osijek and CSA Steaua Bucharest.
The six participating teams have been divided into two groups of three. Group A consists of FK Csíkszereda, TSC Topolya and CSA Steaua Bucharest, while Puskás Ferenc Football Academy, DAC Dunajská Streda and NK Osijek make up Group B.
The group matches will be played between Wednesday and Friday. Our team will open their campaign against TSC Topolya at 4pm on Wednesday before facing CSA Steaua Bucharest at 6pm on Friday. The tournament will conclude with the placement matches on Saturday: the fifth-place match will kick off at 9am, the third-place play-off at 11am and the final at 1pm.
FK Csíkszereda and NK Osijek are the most successful teams in the history of the tournament, having each lifted the trophy three times. Our team won the competition in 2018, 2019 and 2022, while Osijek triumphed in 2017, 2021 and most recently in 2025. Puskás Ferenc Football Academy have won the tournament twice, claiming consecutive titles in 2023 and 2024.
